HIX 2022: The hotel is back. Great things will grow.

Taking place on 17 and 18 November at London’s Business Design Centre, Hotel Interiors Experience (HIX) will bring the hospitality design community together once again to celebrate everything that makes hotels incredible. Returning bigger and better for 2022, with two days of networking, discussions, parties, installations and a curated exhibition of Europe’s leading brands, it’s free to attend, and the only place to find the entire hotel supply chain under one roof.

This year’s expanded edition includes new spaces like The Collection – a curated edit of 30 brands leading the way in European design, each serving up a taste of their new releases with a dedicated pop up ‘mini bar’ and soundtrack. Meanwhile, new installations include a biophilic welcome spectacle, and a central social bar designed by Belgian interiors and branding studio WeWantMore.

Upstairs in the seminar theatre, the Kohler-sponsored HIX Talks programme of discussions, panels, keynotes and deep-dives will explore the future of hotels with a line-up of expert designers, operators and hospitality thinkers. What’s next for zero-waste design? Where does hospitality stand in the new metropolis? Why are hotels betting on the metaverse? Featuring speakers from Baranowitz + Kronenberg, Accor, Sircle Collection, Conran & Partners, A Studio, Edyn and more, come along to hear actionable advice on how to future-proof your projects.

For this year’s social strand, a late Thursday close and free drinks at the HIX Bar will be joined by a series of stand parties and activations across the show floor, whilst Friday afternoon will host Next Gen & Tonic – a dedicated mixer for rising hotel design stars and midweight mavericks to expand their networks, meet the industry, and discover a series of sessions exploring what’s next for the hospitality experience.

Additional content includes a reception celebrating the winners of the Accor Design Competition; brunch sessions from Benjamin West and NEWH; and a slate of stand activities, talks and breakouts including chocolate and latte art workshops, sustainability interviews, and special mixology guests.

Populating the show-floor, 150 leading exhibitors including Roca, Grohe, Chelsom, Wall&decò, Ligne Roset Contract, Hansgrohe, Hypnos and Villeroy & Boch represent the best of the bathroom, furniture, outdoor, lighting, bedding, surfaces, art, technology, wallcoverings and fabric sectors.
