The four rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, and the evening meal is a highlight, reflecting the owners’ commitment to high-quality food and drink. Carradales Luxury Guest House is a deserving recipient of special recognition in the Best Breakfast and Most Romantic Getaway categories, scoring highly in both and earning its place as one of the most highly regarded accommodations in the region.

The winner for me BY FAR is the Old Vicarage Corris – what a brilliant story she tells. She’s clearly very creative. Her website needs work but she’s worked so hard to promote her local community I commend her. I love all the reasons for people to visit and how she’s negotiated extras for her guests. This is true hospitality at it’s best. What would have been even better is to have seen a picture of her, and to know her name – I couldn’t find it anyway on her website. The customer journey from the home page needs work, but she’s clearly good at what she does.. Clear winner for me

Second is the Sunnyside Guest House, Southport. Again they’re doing a brilliant job, but their names are nowhere to be seen! The website has no clear customer journey and the home page is mostly about them, but they’re hitting the spot with guests and, with a little work on thinking through the customer experience online, they’ll do even better.

The breakfast photos could be better, not appetising (eggs look particularly drab), and rather old fashioned buffet table.
