The Belfry at Yarcombe, East Devon

The Belfry at Yarcombe B&B is a grade II listed converted Victorian School built in 1872 with stone mullioned leaded windows and situated, within a quaint Devon village and beautiful Yarty Valley, just ½ mile off the A303.   Also conveniently situated just 20-30 minutes from the dramatic Jurassic Coast, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Beer and Branscombe, and within the Blackdown Hills AONB.

In addition to the historic 900-year-old thatched Yarcombe Inn, once a monastery and owned by Sir Frances Drake just opposite, the award-winning Candlelight Inn at Bishopswood and The Cotley at Wambrook are both just 4 ½ miles away.  Plus, The Kings Arms at Stockland and the Flintlock at Marsh also excellent at just a couple of miles away.

The amenities and antiques galore in Honiton are just 10 minutes away and Exeter, a thriving university city just 40 minutes.

The current owners have lived at The Belfry for 15 years and during this time, all 6 guest rooms have been fully renovated together with new walk-in shower en-suites, pressurised water system, boiler, and wireless fire alarm.

There is a self-contained owner’s apartment, with a bedroom, lounge area, bathroom, and office, plus a private courtyard.  This successful B&B is currently operating with a 9.1 score on Booking.com, 4.7 on Google Reviews and 4.5 on Trip Advisor with all future bookings in place.

Once the award winning and successful Belfry Restaurant & Rooms, the property was changed to a B&B following the owners (Chef) back injury in 2015 and changed to a B&B which has run successfully since.  The commercial kitchen is still in place.
